RDS TAG
Rodney District Sports has expanded to bring the local community exciting junior TAG games, at Metro Park Millwater! No competition, no league. Just come down and enjoy.
Junior age grades: 5yrs to 17yrs
Membership Fees: Single Player - $10
Parents. Please help us by getting together and looking after the team that your children are playing in. They love having you involved, and it helps make the evening run smoothly.
Registrations:
Registrations for the 2024 season are open now.
Dates & Times:
Games will be on Tuesday evenings. Please be there at 4:30pm
Term 1 will start on 6th February 2024 and last until 26th March 2024
The Game & Rules:
A running/passing game, similar to Touch. Has two ribbons on each players shorts, attached with velcro (as per ripper rugby)
No tackling, no touch. Detaching a ribbon from the ball carrier results in a "play the ball" (rugby league style)

Clothing/Shoes:
Shorts which have the velcro included, can be purchased from RDS, for $15/pair.
Alternatively you can modify existing shorts you have by sewing velcro on. Please do not attempt this however, with existing RDS football shorts, which remain the property of RDS, and are on loan.
Shoes for running on grass turf are the most appropriate
